C1 In 1829, organ builder John Abbey delivered a choir organ to St Etienne du Mont. It was the first choir organ ever installed in a parish church in Paris. It was replaced in 1902 by a new organ by Théodore Puget; the old instrument was moved to St Roch. In 1942, at Maurice Duruflé’s request, the 4-rank Plein Jeu on the Récit replaced an 8′ Voix Humaine. This stop fits in perfectly with the Puget ensemble. The organ was restored in 1954, probably by Beuchet. In 1991, Dargassies overhauled and tuned it without making any structural changes. Some of the leather membranes that close off the notes were replaced.
1902 - Puget (1) 1942 - ?? (6) 1954 - Beuchet (7) 1991 - Dargassies (5)

II/14 (12) - traction pneumatique
